*Keep in mind I drink water all day and I haven’t had dinner yet.

*I realize that I eat a lot but don’t judge.

I could write this whole paper saying how easy it is to stay healthy and lose weight while staying fit during this break, but I would be lying. Instead, I chose to say the truth, something that most people are afraid of doing. I eat A LOT. Today alone I ate 2 cinnamon rolls, a bowl of ice cream, a couple cookies, and a ham sandwich. You can definitely workout at home, but it isn’t easy. Working out alone without weights or other workout equipment is difficult but possible. Personally, I like to workout “everyday” just trying to stay active. Now notice how I highlighted the term everyday, I did that because sometimes I get lazy or forget, not a big deal. Missing one workout or eating that one* chocolate bar isn’t going to kill you. Not everyday has to be a workout, sometimes I dance alone in my room in front of the mirror screaming one direction songs. It still counts as physical activity.

Now onto the nutrition side of things. I live with my younger teenage brother so I rarely have food in the house but when I do, I’m not afraid to eat it. The one thing that I stay away from are hydrogenated oil. That is something that I have not had in three years. Hydrogenated oil is a preservative found in most fast food places and other household food. This oil is extremely bad for you and is a major factor in obesity. If you were to put hydrogenated oil (McDonalds) in the middle of a forest, animals would stay away from it. This is because it is super unnatural and

unhealthy. Anyway, the point is stay away from that. Nutrition is something to keep track of if you need to but if you are active, don’t let it limit yourself.

The Coronavirus has limited us as a nation from being able to do the things we were once used to but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to. I actually started doing this TV workout where every time a character would say something, it was a workout to do. I will attach a picture so you know what I mean. Even something like dancing in the mirror counts so just do something. I also personally like to run outside on the really nice days but normally when I am inside I will do a

cardio-based workout.

In conclusion, don’t feel bad whenever you see someone posting their workout or super healthy breakfast smoothie on social media. You do you, whatever that means.

*When I said that one chocolate bar, I actually meant several. : )
